100 Cage | hommage au centenaire de John Cage | Le son, le silence. Qu’est-ce que la musique et ce qui ne l’est pas. John Cage est l’artiste qui a défié les lignes fines qui séparent ces paradoxes. C’est à son centenaire que Tuca a reçu le spectacle 100 Cage.

Cerimônia Duchamp | For this tribute to John Cage I did a performance-offering, where I cooked mushrooms and served wrapped in the shape of a banana leaf brought by the body artist Toshi Tanaka, who performed Shodo, Japanese calligraphic art, in which I participated in the same event, holding one of the four ends of the fabric on which the art would be executed by Toshi. A large line of people formed to eat the mushrooms, which were prepared on a portable stove in the middle of the lobby amid other activities. People always asked how much it cost and were surprised when he said it cost nothing, it was an offering. The performance was a success. But I have not kept visual records of the event.

Para esta homenagem a John Cage eu fiz uma performance-oferenda, onde cozinhei cogumelos e servi enrolados em forma de folha de bananeira trazidos pelo artista corporal Toshi Tanaka, que fez performance de Shodo, arte caligráfica japonesa, do qual participei no mesmo evento, segurando uma das quatro pontas do tecido no qual seria executada a arte por Toshi. Uma grande fila de pessoas se formou para comer os cogumelos, que eram preparados numa boca de fogão portátil no meio do saguão em meio a outras atividades. As pessoas sempre perguntavam quanto custava e estranhavam quando dizia que não custava nada, era uma oferenda. A performance foi um sucesso. Mas não tenho guardado registros visuais do acontecimento.
