Chronicles of Accumulation

This work invites viewers to explore the layers of our personal histories, to reflect on the moments that have shaped our journey in contemporary world.

It’s a visual autobiography that captures the essence of past and present and preserves it for the future, an art piece that prompts contemplation on the passage of time and the stories we accumulate along the way.

This work represents the passage of time, personal history, and the accumulation of experiences. It consists of 11 panels, each with its unique arrangement of paper waste materials that hold a piece of my life’s journey.

The use of transparent adhesive tape to bind the materials together symbolizes the transparency of your memories and experiences and the fragility of it as well. Nothing is hidden; it’s an open book of the past. The collage of old business cards, notes, and packaging from around the world signifies the global nature of your experiences, showing how your life has been influenced by encounters with people and cultures from diverse backgrounds.
